Eleanor S. Williams, 98, of Butler passed away Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024, at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler.

Born May 23, 1926, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Laura Christy Johnston.

Eleanor enjoyed baking, crocheting and spending time with her loving family.

She was retired from Magnetics following 22 years of service.

She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving are her 11 children, Paul J. Williams Jr., Richard J. (Beverly) Williams, James L. Williams, Kathleen A. LeGrand, Yvonne (Dennis) Young, Patricia (Greg) Frobe, Theodore J. Williams, all of Butler, Daniel E. (Barbara) Williams of Chicora, and Joseph A. Williams, Johnny F. Williams and William C. Williams of Butler, 26 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul J. Williams Sr., who passed away Aug, 27, 1991. They were married Feb. 25, 1946. She was also preceded by a grandson and six siblings.

WILLIAMS — Friends of Eleanor S. Williams, who died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday from St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, 210 St. Wendelin Road, Butler.

Interment will follow at St. Wendelin Cemetery.
