Susan K. Moon, 84, of Butler passed away on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 6, 1939, in Butler, and was a daughter of the late Edgar McClafferty and Eleanor (Donahue) McClafferty.

Susan had retired from the Mars Home for Youth and then worked at Lifesteps in Butler. She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, was a member of the yarn spinners and was a past member of the BMH Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting and reading.

She is survived by a brother-in-law, Raymond Collins; nieces and nephews, Lisa (Henry) Monday, Laurie Confer, Sue (Jeff) Carr, Mike (Ana) Collins, Chris (Mindy) Collins and Deborah Vidmar, as well as a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Carolyn, Shirley, Nancy and Joyce. Susan was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

MOON — There will not be a visitation for Susan K. Moon, who died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler, with the Rev. Kevin Fazio officiating.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Butler.
