CRANBERRY TWP — Grace Community Church, 216 Mystic Pine Trail, will be the host site for a program simulcast featuring Christian author Beth Moore.

The inspirational talk will be delivered from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Aug. 1 and from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 2 via satellite from Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Ky.

The simulcast is being offered in conjunction with the Living Proof Live event in Louisville and hosted by LifeWay Women's Events and the Church Communication Network. About 600 churches are participating as host sites.

Christ's Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave., will host Praise Fest beginning at 6 p.m. Friday.The free community event will feature a hot dog eating contest sponsored by Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe for ages 12 and older, hot dogs, popcorn and snow cones.Games, music and other activities also will be featured.

LYNDORA — The Butler Women's Connection will host its monthly continental breakfast from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Tanglewood Center, Austin Street.The theme for this month's event is "Onward and Upward" and will feature "Building Blocks of Memories" by Lori Wilson of Just Around the Block Miniature Houses. CONNEAUTVILLE, Crawford County — The annual Peniel Holiness Camp, an interdenominational camp, will host its annual camp meeting July 17 through 27 at the site on Highway 18.Evangelists are Roy Lauter of World Gospel Mission and full-time traveling evangelist the Rev. Jeremiah Bolich. Song evangelist is Tab Beechler.Rooms and tent and trailer spaces are available.
