Rep. Kelly invites students to take part in Congressional App Challenge

U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly, R-16th, is inviting high school students from across Pennsylvania’s 16th Congressional District to participate in this year’s Congressional App Challenge, a contest which encourages teams of students to learn to code by creating the best mobile apps.

The deadline for students to submit their app is Oct. 24. Students who enter the challenge must be in middle or high school.

The 16th District includes Butler County, as well as Erie County, Lawrence County, Mercer County, Crawford County and part of Venango County.

Last year, the top four entries in the 16th District all hailed from Knoch High School. First place went to an app called “The Funny,” submitted by Quinlin Howison and Elijah Seybert.
