Tyler Cumba, 27, of Butler, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024.

He was born in Butler on Oct. 24, 1996, and was the son of Rebecca (Rankin) Rettig and Ivan Cumba.

Tyler attended Butler Senior High School before getting his GED diploma. He loved the outdoors and being in nature. Tyler enjoyed camping, hiking, riding his bike, reading and playing video games. He had a great sense of humor and an awesome smile that will be forever missed.

Tyler is survived by his parents, Rebecca and John Rettig; his father, Ivan Cumba; two sisters, Tatyana Cumba and Catarah Cain; brothers, Ivan J. Cumba, Jacob Rankin and Parker Rettig; grandparents, Paula Davis, Bert and Sandy Young, and Carol Rettig; niece and nephew, Ariel and Mikah Bullard; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Tyler was preceded in death by his sister, Cristal Cumba; his aunt, Holly Rankin; and his grandfathers, Thomas Davis and Larry Rettig.

CUMBA — All services for Tyler Cumba, who died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024, were held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
