1:25 a.m. Sunday — Christopher Lee Heitzenrater, 33, of East Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Bonniebrook Road near Grant Avenue Extension in Summit Township.4:26 p.m. Saturday — A home security safe was found in Washington Township. The owner can claim the property by calling the state police barracks at 724-284-8100.3:45 p.m. Friday — Adam Beck, 20, no address given, was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his pickup struck a SUV on Leisie Road in Forward Township. Cynthia Lewis, 44, no address given, was driving the SUV.9:56 a.m. Friday — An SUV driven by Christopher M. Moreland, 30, of New Castle crashed and flipped over on ice-covered Interstate 79 near West Park Road in Muddy Creek Township. Moreland was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.9:55 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Nathan Manuel, 17, of Reondo Beach, Calif., crashed into a guardrail on ice- and slush-covered I-79 near Sawyer Road in Lancaster Township.9:50 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Amber Niebauer, 19, of Erie crashed into a guardrail on ice-covered I-79 near Sawyer Road in Muddy Creek Township.9:25 a.m. Friday — Michael A, Dolph, 61, of Butler was hurt when he lost control of his pickup on ice and slush and flipped over and rolled several times on Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township. Dolph, who was wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries, was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.7:30 p.m. Thursday — An unidentified vehicle struck an unoccupied car that was disabled and parked on the side of I-79 in Worth Township, and drove away after the crash. The car sustained severe damage. Anyone with information about the hit-and-run crash that happened between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 p.m. Thursday is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.4 a.m. Thursday — An unknown thief stole an in-dash Sony compact disc player and radio, valued at $260, from a car in the Indspec Chemical parking lot on Route 268 in Petrolia. The same suspect, described as a white male, reportedly was seen trying to enter several other vehicles in the parking lot before driving away in a dark-colored car.7:02 p.m. Tuesday — A would-be thief ran away empty-handed after trying to make off with a shopping cart full of items from the Sears store at the Clearview Mall in Center Township. A store security officer stopped the unknown shoplifter outside the store, but the suspect ran off into a wooded area. All the merchandise was recovered.3:30 p.m. Dec. 20 — A pickup driven by Shon C. Schettler, 18, of Evans City struck a tree along Johns School Road near Leisie Road in Forward Township. Schettler, who was treated at UPMC Passavant Cranberry for minor injuries, was cited for driving at an unsafe speed. He was wearing a seat belt.

11:55 a.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by David W. Rhoades, 59, of Emlenton and a sport utility vehicle driven by Donald Allio, 51, of Lamartine collided at Community and Beels Hills roads in Salem Township. Rhoades was cited for a stop sign violation.Thursday — A silver iPod was stolen from a car at a Maple Grove Road home in Madison Township. The theft occurred between 9 p.m. Wednesday and noon Saturday.
