10:09 p.m. Sunday — Lindsay Jane Wetzel, 23, of Butler faces theft and other charges after she was allegedly caught shoplifting children's clothing, a cell phone charger and digital camera at the Kmart in Pullman Square.Police said Wetzel took the items valued at more than $150 to a restroom and removed the packaging, apparently with the help of a switchblade later found in her purse.Wetzel is charged with retail theft and carrying a prohibited offensive weapon.

Monday — Police reported they have charged a 17-year-old boy for lying when he claimed he was threatened Thursday at the Butler Senior High School by another student with a knife.Police said they investigated the teen's report which turned out to be unfounded. The 17-year-old is charged in juvenile court with false reports to law enforcement authorities and unsworn falsification to authorities.6:25 a.m. Sunday — Vehicles driven by Thomas Pipchok, 46, of Portersville and John Duster Jr., 40, of Butler collided on New Castle Road in front of the KFC restaurant.5:55 a.m. Sunday — A pickup truck driven by Eric Miner, 38, of Connoquenessing struck a chain-link fence and parked vehicle in at the AK Steel Main Gate parking lot on Armco Drive. Miner suffered minor facial injuries.

Saturday — Three people were arrested for driving under the influence following a roving patrol detail. Officers stopped 90 vehicles and, in addition to the DUI arrests, cited two people for underage drinking and issued 30 traffic tickets. Police also arrested two people on warrants.

Saturday — An unknown burglar stole jewelry, watches, an Xbox video game system and a jar of coins after breaking into a mobile home on Oak Street in Prospect. The burglary occurred between 9:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 a.m. Saturday. The stolen property is valued at $1,399.

12:27 p.m. Sunday — Lester Williamson, 75, of Petrolia was hurt when the sport utility vehicle he was driving crashed and rolled over on Bradley Road near Route 585 in Worth Township, Mercer County. Williamson suffered unknown injuries.2:07 a.m. Saturday — Ty L. Thompson, 42, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 58 in Pine Township.1:50 a.m. Friday — Derek John Urben, 25, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Route 58 and Lee Road in Findley Township.9:50 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Nancy J. Eastman, 22, of Grove City struck a ditch and overturned on Route 58 in Pine Township. Eastman suffered a minor injury.
