1:36 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Stephen A. Crofoot Jr., 25, of West Sunbury struck the back of another car on Route 108 near West Park Road in Worth Township. Rikki Graybeal, 19, of West Sunbury, a passenger in Crofoot's car, was treated at the Grove City Medical Center for minor injuries. Graybeal was cited for driving at an unsafe speed. Peter D. Deluca, 60, of Cranberry Township was the other driver.2:40 p.m. Friday — An Ohio woman was blamed for causing a four-vehicle, chain-reaction crash after checking her cell phone was driving on Route 173 in Slippery Rock Township.Alicia L. Harker, 21, of Poland rear-ended a car driven by Jason Profozich, 26, of Pittsburgh, which in turn hit the back of a sport utility vehicle driven by Christopher Roher, 36, of Volant, Lawrence County. Roher's vehicle then hit the rear of an SUV driven by Brittany Freiters, 18, of Slippery Rock.Profozich and Roher suffered minor injuries. Harker was cited for driving at an unsafe speed and careless driving.2:13 p.m. Friday — Jeffrey Elgeti, 36, of Milwaukee, Wisc., suffered a minor injury when an unidentified blue and silver pickup truck rear-ended the SUV he was driving on Route 38 about one-half mile south of Hooker Road in Concord Township. The pickup, possibly a Dodge Dakota, did not stop after the crash.The hit-and-run driver is described as a white man in his mid- to late-40s, with light blondish hair. The man was not wearing a shirt.2 a.m. Friday — Stephanie Verdu, 32, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Herman Road near Reed Lane in Summit Township.5 p.m. Thursday — An unknown thief made off with a car that was stored in a wooded area on Watters Station Road in Forward Township. Owner Paul Feineigle of Mars told police he planned to sell the 1970s model Cadillac for scrap.A witness reported to have seen a blue, Chevrolet 3500 tilt-bed truck removing the car from the woods. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.3:19 p.m. Sept. 7 — An SUV driven by Nestor Tomycz, 30, of Pittsburgh crashed into an embankment and rolled onto its roof on Browns Hill Road near Sandy Hill Road in Middlesex Township. Tomycz was cite for driving at an unsafe speed.

3 p.m. Friday — An elderly Crawford County couple was injured when their sport utility vehicle struck the median and rolled over on Interstate 80 in Allegheny Township.Nellie M. Steider, 76, the driver, and Robert E. Steider, 77, the passenger, both of Conneaut Lake, were flown by medical helicopter with unknown injuries to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
