9:47 a.m. Monday — Police recovered what they described as a "large amount" of jewelry at the Dairy Queen on Freeport Road in Summit Township. One item is a locket that contained the pictures of two small children.Police are trying to locate the owner of the jewelry. The owner or anyone with information that could help police is asked to call the barracks at 724-284-8100.Monday — Someone between 10 p.m. Sunday and 6 p.m. Monday slashed two front tires of a car parked outside the Ridgeview Lane home of Kim Gatto in Muddy Creek Township.

1:15 a.m. Sunday — Lana Stockdill, 33, of Rimersburg was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 68 in Monroe Township.State Police, Kittanning10 a.m. Saturday — A minivan driven by Robert E. Long Jr., 21, of Ford City struck a deer on Route 28 in North Buffalo Township.

Monday — Police reported that the owner of the Vin-Joe Inn on Route 38 in Summit Township was charged with serving alcohol to a minor.Officers for the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement filed the charges, which could result in fines between $50 and $1,000, and a possible license suspension or revocation.
