Donald F. Mahood
Donald F. "Donnie" Mahood, 57, of Perry Township, Parker, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes early Wednesday in the emergency room at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.
Born in Grove City, Aug. 27, 1953, he was son of Geraldine "Jerry" Timco Mahood Gamble and the late Kenneth F. Mahood.
He was a 1971 graduate of Allegheny-Clarion Valley School at Foxburg.
He was a tube-still operator in the hydro plant at Penreco, where he had completed 36 years of service this past September.
Don was a member of Parker United Methodist Church, Parker City-Allegheny Valley F&AM Lodge 521 and Coudersport Consistory.
Among Don's attributes in life, first and foremost was he intense love for his wife, daughters and his grandson, Eric. He told everyone having a grandson was a great gift.
Donnie was a dedicated employee at Penreco and was always available to give a helping hand to those in need, family or friend. And finally, he and his wife, along with close friends, enjoyed every available moment camping at Lake Erie.
Surviving are his wife of 36 years, the former Linda Slaughenhoupt, who he married Nov. 9, 1973; his mother, Geraldine "Jerry" Gamble of Parker; two daughters, Sara Clinger and her companion, Steve Dixon, of Morgantown, W.Va., and Maggie Chandler and her husband, Rich, of Parker; one grandson, Eric Clinger of Morgantown; two brothers, Roy Mahood and James W. (Jamie) Gamble and his wife, Shelly, all of Parker; and his parents-in-law: Richard and Gerre Slaughenhoupt of Parker.

Wayne Ave., Parker. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Parker United Methodist Church, Washington Street, Parker, with the Rev. Kenneth Hughes, pastor, officiating.
