2:28 a.m. Wednesday — Sherry Mershimer, 24, of Butler was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop at the intersection of McQuiston Road and Hillvue Drive.1:23 a.m. Tuesday — Julie Honan, 26, of West Sunbury was charged with driving under the influence, following too closely and roads laned for traffic following a traffic stop on Route 422.7:07 a.m. Sunday — Sharon Nicoll, 30, of Ellwood City was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, unauthorized use of motor vehicle, false reports to law enforcement, criminal mischief and false identification to law enforcement after police responded to a call about a woman in the Co-Go's parking lot on North Main Street who had a bloody nose and whose vehicle appeared to have been in an accident. After giving the name of another person, Nicoll refused to submit to a blood test or give any further information at Butler Memorial Hospital. The owner of the vehicle, Ray Marci of New Castle, was unaware it was missing until notified by police.

3 a.m. Wednesday — Someone broke into O'Donnells Sports Supply in Muddy Creek Township, taking about $85 from a vending machine.Wednesday — Christine Palko of Lower Burrell reported finding the back window of her van broken with a baseball that was found inside the van while she was at Laura J. Doerr Park in Jefferson Township. The ball, "does not appear to be a 'game ball' because of its condition," police reported. An investigation is under way.

Wednesday — James L. Wolfe, 39, of Parker, is in the Clarion County Prison awaiting extradition to Ohio because of a warrant for an unknown crime. He had been arrested for a hit-and-run accident in Clarion County on Tuesday and admitted to the warrant when interviewed Wednesday.

4 p.m. Monday — Interstate Builders of Butler reported someone took about $2,000 of equipment from a site in Bradys Bend, Armstrong County, during the weekend.

2:15 p.m. Tuesday — The Coach Factory store at Prime Outlets in Springfield Township had 21 wallets stolen.
