St. Anthony plans rummage sale

St. Anthony Orthodox Church, 400 S. Sixth Ave., will have a rummage and cookie sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

There will be household items, clothes, toys and seasonal decorations for sale, as well as cookies, other baked goods and hot dogs.

Authors offer writing advice

CRANBERRY TWP — Authors Beth Caldwell and Lillie Leonardi will share their advice on how to write a book from 6 to 7:30 p.m. June 2 at the Cranberry Public Library, 2525 Rochester Road.

Caldwell is the author of “Inspire: Women’s Stories of Accomplishment, Encouragement and Influence.” Leonardi is the author of “In the Shadow of a Badge, a Memoir about Flight 93,” “A Field of Angels” and “My Spiritual Homecoming.”

Quilter will show new quilt pattern

EMLENTON — Patricia Knoechel, nationally known quilter, will demonstrate and present the newest Quilt in a Day book “All Star Quilt” from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 5 at the Scrubgrass Grange, 5104 Emlenton-Clintonville Road.

The program is sponsored by the Scrubgrass Stitchers Quilt Guild.

Tickets are free but will be required for admittance.
