7:30 p.m. Saturday — David Keefer, no age given, of Hilliards was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and several undisclosed traffic violations on Route 38 near Branchton Road in Cherry Township.12:30 p.m. Saturday — Cars driven by Muriel Cox, 68, and Albert Kobert, no age given, both of Cabot, collided at Route 356 and Knox Chapel in Winfield Township. Cox, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered unknown injuries.11:39 a.m. Saturday — The driver's side front tire came off a sport utility vehicle driven by Jeremy Speicher, 20, of Butler and the tire hit the front end of a car on Route 308 in Clay Township. Mary Vernor, 35, of Butler was driving the car.7:04 p.m. Friday — Asport utility vehicle driven by Thomas Chapman, 32, of Butler struck a tree along Route 528 near Little Creek Road in Connoquenessing Township.Chapman, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with a broken femur and possible internal injuries. His condition was not known this morning.7:02 p.m. Friday — Two people were injured when the motorcycle they were riding hit a guardrail and crashed on Route 68 nears O'Donnell's Beer Distributor in Oakland Township.Robert McEwen, 49, of New Castle, who was driving the motorcycle without a helmet, suffered minor arm injuries. Passenger Prudy McEwen, 49, also of New Castle, who was wearing a helmet, suffered moderate chest and neck injuries. Both victims were treated at Butler Memorial Hospital. Robert McEwen was cited for a lane violation.5:49 p.m. Friday — An unidentified white, Chevrolet pickup truck struck a tractor-trailer on Route 422 in Franklin Township, and did not stop following the crash. Mar Omastra Jr., 42, of Belle Vernon, Westmoreland County, was driving the tractor-trailer.5:11 p.m. Friday — Dylan Como, 20, of Mercer was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 in Clearfield Township.Friday — An unknown would-be burglar tried to break into the Donegal Grange on East Slippery Rock Road in Donegal Township. Vinyl siding was damaged and a door jamb broken in the attempted burglary between 11:30 a.m. Thursday and 4:30 p.m. Friday. Damages were estimated $600.Friday — Aceiling fan and wet saw were stolen between 4:30 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday in a burglary at a house under construction on Blossom Road in Center Township.
