Saturday — Three people were arrested for driving under the influence during a DUIcheckpoint and roving patrols Friday night and Saturday morning on Route 173 in Slippery Rock Township.Additionally, police cited one person for underage drinking and issued 19 citations for vehicle code violations. Assisting state police were police from Slippery Rock and Adams and Jackson townships.Thursday — Building equipment was taken between March 17 and Thursday from a construction site at 251 Kriess Road in Connoquenessing Township. Among the property taken were two power finishing guns, a power nailer and two coping saws. Ronald Boy of Boyers owns the stolen property.Thursday — Ared, 2004 Honda 400 all-terrain vehicle was stolen between 5:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. from the North Ash Avenue home of Mary Kriebel in Parker, Armstrong County.March 1 — Supplies to build a shed were taken between December and March 1 from a Shroyermill Road home in Clay Township. The stolen property, owned by James Hollihan of Pittsburgh, is valued at $7,800.

3:20 a.m. Saturday — John Plotner Jr., 18, of Jackson Center was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 173 near Route 965 in Worth Township, Mercer County. He also faces charges of speeding, careless driving, and minors not to drive with any alcohol in their system.12:55 a.m. Saturday — Ronald Kautchick, 39, of Sandy Lake was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 62 and School Road in Sandy Lake Township, Mercer County. He was also cited for a lane violation and careless driving.
