3:07 p.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by Richard Jackman, 45, of Butler struck the rear of a car driven by Michelle Kosar, 39, of Butler on Route 8 in Center Township. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and were not injured. Jackman was cited for a traffic violation.4:40 p.m. Nov. 13 — David L. Jewart, 52, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence and not driving on the right side of the road following a traffic stop on Valencia Road in Forward Township.1:50 a.m. Friday — William K. Merriman, 60, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township.Thursday — Philip Goeppner, 58, of Harrisville reported the theft of three guns from his Mercer Township residence at 645 Mercer St. Ext. between 9:15 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Thursday. The stolen firearms are an Ithaca Model 37 20-gauge shotgun, a Charles Daly 12-gauge shotgun and a .270-caliber Savage Model 110 rifle.Thursday — Kellie Wicker, 22, and Stacie Vitori, 22, both of Slippery Rock, reported the theft of several food items from their apartment at 349 Kiester Road between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Thursday.Nov. 13 — Edward Haid of Fenelton reported the theft of a red and black 2000 Yamaha 250 quad from a locked storage shed at his 3039 Old Route 422 East residence between 5 p.m. Nov. 12 and 9 a.m. Nov. 13. Anyone with information about the theft should call state police at 724-284-8100.Nov. 13 — The Center Township Giant Eagle on North Main Street reported a forged check used at the store.
8:43 p.m. Wednesday — Irisely Forty, 24, of Butler and William J. Frey, 20, of Butler were charged with possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop on Route 28 in Harmar Township, Allegheny County.
