6:57 p.m. Tuesday - A 14-year-old Butler girl was cited for several traffic offenses after the car she was driving struck a traffic sign on West New Castle Street. Police said the girl drove off after the crash.She is charged with driving without a license, careless driving, and accidents involving damage to unattended property.

9:30 p.m. Monday - Cars driven by Daisuke Takahashi, 31, of Slippery Rock and Chris Smith, 21, of Monroeville, Allegheny County, collided on Benbrook Road in Center Township. Takahashi was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road.4 a.m. Monday - Someone dropped three bags of garbage over the Route 308 overpass onto Elliot Road in Center Township. Police said it appears the garbage came from a party at a nearby West Sunbury Road home but have identified no suspects in the investigation.Monday - A saw, jack and torch set were taken between May 21 and Monday from an unlocked garage in a burglary at the Community Park Road home of Dean Clawson in Forward Township.7:45 a.m. Saturday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Linda Thrower, 40, of Clinton Township and a car driven by Sean Stivason, 22, of Cowansville, Armstrong County, collided on Route 228 near Freeport Street in Clinton Township. Both drivers, wearing seat belts, suffered minor injuries.

Tuesday - Two boys who reportedly escaped about 7:15 a.m. from the George Junior Republic juvenile detention facility in Pine Township, Mercer County were later found the same day hiding in woods along Route 208 in nearby Springfield Township.
