Police Reports

The following items were collected from various police departments:

Butler Twp

Sept. 9 — Dale K. Butler, 64, of Prospect, was charged with misdemeanor counts of DUI, marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession related to an Aug. 11 traffic stop on Evans City Road. Police said field sobriety tests showed Butler was impaired and a later blood test showed his blood alcohol content at 0.191% and marijuana in his system. Police said that during the stop, they found marijuana, a grinder and a cigarette roller. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.

Sept. 9 — Police charged Craig T. Fehn, 61, of Butler, in two separate retail theft cases. Police charged Fehn with one count of misdemeanor retail theft in each case. Police said the first case was related to a Sept. 6 theft report at Walmart. Police said Fehn stole an e-bike, valued at $598, by pushing it out the front door without paying for it. Police said the second case was related to a Sept. 7 theft report at Aldi. Police said Fehn stole about $190 worth of groceries, but officers confronted him in the parking lot. Police said Fehn had the e-bike with him.

3:11 p.m. Sept. 6 — Police responded to a vehicle fire at the intersection of North Eberhart and Evan City roads. Police said a vehicle driven by Tammy Pisor, 57, of Hilliards, caught fire in the engine compartment. Police said Pisor escaped unharmed, but her vehicle became engulfed in flames. The VA and Butler Township fire departments put out the blaze. Pisor was cited for driving without a license.

Sept. 4 — Nicholas H. Kovacs, 42, of Youngstown, Ohio, was charged with felony counts of theft and criminal conspiracy related to a trailer that went missing Aug. 30. Police said Kovacs stole the trailer from the Greater Butler Mart lot. Police said the trailer was valued at about $12,000.

3:38 p.m. Sept. 3 — Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Meridian Road. Police said Patrick McDonald, 54, of Lyndora, became distracted after one of his dogs jumped into his lap and got tangled with the steering wheel. Police said McDonald’s vehicle ran into two mailboxes and a utility pole. Police said McDonald suffered a minor hand injury but needed no further treatment, and the dogs were uninjured. Police cited McDonald for careless driving.

9:52 a.m. Aug. 31 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of West Metzger Avenue and South Main Street. Police said Janet Gregg, 69, of Butler, failed to proceed through a stop sign with proper clearance and hit a vehicle driven by Donald Kuminkoski, 66, of Butler. Police said neither driver reported injuries. Police said Kuminkoski’s vehicle was towed from the scene, and Gregg received a traffic citation.

Cranberry Twp

Sept. 11 — Sarah C. Haskins, 42, of Avalon, Pa., was charged with misdemeanor theft related to an Aug. 1 theft report at Walmart. Police said a fellow shopper accidentally left $40 in the change dispenser. Police said Haskins took the money and left immediately.

Sept. 11 — David R. Osselborn, 66, of Fombell, Pa., was charged with misdemeanor retail theft related to a June 7 theft report at Walmart. Police said Osselborn tried to steal $233 worth of items.

Sept. 10 — Shawnnay Everett, 23, of Ringgold, Ga., was charged with misdemeanor retail theft related to a Sept. 9 theft report at Walmart. Police said Everett tried to steal $205 worth of items.

Sept. 10 — Tyler J. Paxton, 26, of Allison Park, was charged with one misdemeanor count of displaying a false document related to an Aug. 9 traffic stop on Route 19. Police said Paxton had a fake registration displayed on his motorcycle.

Sept. 5 — Maxence O. Truche, 22, of Cranberry Township, was charged with misdemeanor DUI related to a single-vehicle crash Aug. 18 on Franklin Road. Police said they found Truche’s vehicle overturned on the road, and he was taken to the hospital for evaluation. Police said a blood test showed Truche’s blood alcohol content at 0.182%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.
