Maxine King

Maxine King, 94, of Wexford passed away at 7:16 p.m. Thursday while in the company of family members. Mrs. King was formerly of Freeport.

Maxine was born in Freeport on July 21, 1917. She was the daughter of the late Millicent (McQuillan) and Charles A. Ruppersberger. She was the widow of James W. King, who passed in 1978. Maxine had been a lifetime member of old Trinity Episcopal Church in Freeport.

Maxine was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed doing puzzles, watching sports and spending time with friends and family.

She is survived by three children, Charles W. “Bill” (Terri) King of Butler, Karen M. Mallionee of Buffalo Township and Kathy K. (Jack) Downey of Wexford; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles A. Ruppersberger; and two sisters, Gladys Brunt and Zelma Flemm.

KING — Family and friends of Maxine King, who died Thursday, May 10, 2012, will be received on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. in the

Redmond Funeral Home, 524 High St., Freeport.Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev.
