Tariffs are a tax on goods coming in to our country. For example, under former President Donald Trump’s plan to add a 60% tariff on all goods imported from China, Walmart will pay 60% more for anything it buys from China.

Of course, these price hikes will be passed on to us. Trump plans to add another 10% or 20% on all goods from foreign countries, even Canada and Mexico. Vice President Kamala Harris estimates it will add $4,000 a year to the family budget. Not only will these policies lead to a trade war, you will see inflation like you have never seen before.
