Thanks for community generosity
We recently held our first cornhole tournament fundraiser for Bundle Up Butler. It was a last-minute decision to put together this event, but it all came together.
It was a success because of the help and support of our community — Clearview Mall who donated the space, Armstrong who donated and helped with the internet, Texas Roadhouse and Compadres, who donated food and then the various cornhole organizations — Butler Cornhole, Blurred Vision Cornhole and Slippery Rock Cornhole.
We had over 40 competitors, tons of basket donations for auction and a 50-50 raffle. We were able to raise $1,800 for Bundle Up Butler.
Center for Community Resources is so thankful to our community for their support in helping to keep Butler County children warm this winter.
If you know of someone who needs a coat, Bundle Up Butler will be Friday, Oct. 11 at the Butler City Farm Market.
