We just experienced a wonderful act of kindness which came from what could have been a near tragedy. Our Guardian smoke detector was activated by over-browned sausage. Being totally down on myself for letting this happen, I told the customer service girl who called that I was never trying to cook again, and we were going out for dinner.

Within minutes, her supervisor called and said he was having a pizza delivered so we wouldn’t need to go out. We don’t know their names, but hopefully this acknowledgment of their special kindness reaches them.
