Katherine ‘Kay’ Sheppeck

Katherine Marie “Kay” Sheppeck, 92, of Butler, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024.

Born July 1, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine Sawron.

She lived her entire life in Butler and held various retail and service jobs. Kay was a very caring and loving person to everyone around her. She was happiest when spending time with family and friends. Kay enjoyed playing cards, polka dancing, and belonged to several bowling and golfing leagues. She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Cindi Kelly of Colorado; daughter-in-law, Cindy Sheppeck of Butler; brother-in-law, Rudolph Spino; a stepgrandson; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Sheppeck; son, Gene Sheppeck; five sisters and a brother.

SHEPPECK — Friends of Katherine Marie “Kay” Sheppeck, who died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, will be received from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler. Burial to be in Calvary Cemetery, Butler.
