Dak Prescott throws game-winning TD, Dallas stuns Steelers in game delayed more than an hour
Dak Prescott threw a last-second, fourth-down touchdown to Jalen Tolbert with just 20 seconds left, stunning Pittsburgh as Dallas won 20-17 just shy of 1 a.m. Monday.
Tolbert was visibly shaken up the play before but hauled in the 4-yard TD to finish with 7 catches for 87 yards in a game delayed more than an hour by storms.
Pittsburgh (3-2) nearly produced a goal-line stand to avoid a second straight loss. The defense forced a fumble on a second-and-1 Cowboys rushing attempt, but Dallas (3-2) recovered.
It erased an impressive Steelers go-ahead drive that ended when quarterback Justin Fields hit tight end Pat Freiermuth for a 6-yard TD to make it 17-13 with 4:56 to play.
Fields threw two second-half touchdowns, including a 16-yarder to Heyward. But the Cowboys contained him much of the night, as he finished 14 of 25 for 138 yards, adding 27 more yards on the ground.
Prescott was 29 of 42 for 352 yards and two nearly costly interceptions, including one that set up Pittsburgh’s final score.
