Mars High announces homecoming court
Mars Area High School has named its 2024-25 homecoming court.
Court members are, from left, Elianna Maher, Ian Coulter, Alyssa Hipsky, Luke Goodworth, Ellie Koma, Maxwell Zagorski, Susanna Tomkovicz, Logan Becker, Eric Kasperowicz, Bella Yoshioka, Sean Brennan, Morgan Duker, Liam Hein, Jamie Compton, Kyle Kochanski and Ava Herbolich.
Multiple homecoming events and activities in the coming days will celebrate the 2024-25 homecoming.
This year’s homecoming theme is “On Cloud 9.” The district’s schools are holding various Spirit Week events, such as “PJ Day,” “Sports Team/Jersey Day” and other fun activities, all week.
The homecoming queen will be crowned at halftime during the Mars Fightin’ Planets varsity football game against the McKeesport Area Tigers at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11.
The game will be preceded by the Homecoming Parade at 5 p.m. in downtown Mars.
Homecoming king will be crowned during the school’s homecoming dance, which will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Mars Area Middle School.
