Police Reports
The following items were collected from various police departments:
Sept. 5 — Police filed two sets of charges against Calvin Cole Delprete, 28, of Zelienople, related to separate but identical incidents: one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct and one summary violation for failure to confine dog. Related to an Aug. 28 incident, police said they checked on a vehicle stopped strangely on Evans City Road and found a white pit bull with its paws on the vehicle. Police said they identified Delprete as its owner and noted that the dog frequently roams the neighborhood without its owner. Related to a Sept. 2 incident, police said they were dispatched for a loose dog. Police said they found Delprete’s pit bull at a neighbor’s house down the block from his house on Evans City Road.
Sept. 9 — Rebecca K. Wardlow, 52, of Trafford, was charged with misdemeanor DUI related to an Aug. 3 single-vehicle crash on I-79 South in Jackson Township. Police said they saw a THC vape pen in Wardlow’s purse. Police said a later blood test showed a blood alcohol content of 0.09% and marijuana in her system. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.
Sept. 9 — Garrett C. Erford, 23, of Slippery Rock, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault related to a Sept. 7 reported assault. Police said Erford’s girlfriend said that he had assaulted her twice that day. Police said Erford hit her with his hands and a TV, dragged her across the floor and shoved her, injuring the woman with a bloody nose and abrasions to her legs and knees.
Sept. 6 — Kelli L. Crose, 25, of Seneca, Pa., was charged with misdemeanor DUI related to a June 16 traffic stop on New Castle Road in Franklin Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed Crose was impaired and a later blood test showed her blood alcohol content at 0.103%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.
Sept. 5 — Shayne M. Arblaster, 18, of Chicora, was charged with misdemeanor theft related to a May 30 dispatch for a stolen road sign on Chicora Road, Oakland Township. Police said witnesses saw Arblaster carry a toolbox to the sign and steal it along with two other men.
Sept. 5 — Scott A. Cratty, 25, of Slippery Rock, was charged with misdemeanor DUI related to an Aug. 17 dispatch for a driver slumped behind the wheel on North Main Street Extension. Police said field sobriety tests showed Cratty was impaired, and a later breath test showed his blood alcohol content at 0.171%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.
Sept. 5 — Skylar B.J. Murray, 21, of East Brady, was charged with misdemeanor counts of DUI and drug possession related to a single-vehicle rollover crash June 23 on Chicora Road in Oakland Township. Police said that while in the vehicle they saw psilocybin mushrooms as well as THC vape cartridges. Police said a later blood test showed marijuana and xylazine in Murray’s system.
Sept. 5 — Donald J. Dobson, 49, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor DUI related to an Aug. 17 traffic stop on a motorcyclist on Route 8 in Penn Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed Dobson was impaired and a later breath test showed his blood alcohol content at 0.138%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.
Sept. 4 — Roger J. Karnes, 62, of Lyndora, was charged with one misdemeanor count of falsely identifying himself to police related to a Sept. 3 arrest. Police said they arrested Karnes for multiple outstanding warrants, and when approached, Karnes gave a fake name.
