Cranberry hosting drive-thru hazardous waste collection event Oct. 26

The waste disposal company Noble Environmental is hosting a drive-through hazardous waste disposal event on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cranberry Township Public Works Building.

Common materials that will be accepted include batteries, bleach, bug sprays, cleaning products, fertilizer, flammable liquids, fluorescent bulbs, gasoline, kerosene, lawn chemicals, motor oil, pesticide, paint, propane tanks, transmission fluid, and weed killer.

Some electronics also will be accepted, including computers, printers, phones, gaming devices, microwaves, and laptops.

The list of prohibited items includes smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, ammunition, explosive materials, tires, pharmaceuticals, syringes, medical waste, and anything with mercury.
