Registration is open for the Community Leadership Institute of Cranberry, a multiweek program that fosters community engagement, growth and understanding by offering an in-depth look at how local government works to improve the quality of life for township residents.

The program is offered by the Cranberry Township Community Chest, which educates and encourages graduates to be integral to the community through enlightened leadership abilities.

Full-time residents are eligible for the program. Sessions are 90 minutes each and include topics such as government, infrastructure, public safety, utilities, communications, information technology, and parks and recreation.

Participants will be honored for completing the course at a township board of supervisors meeting.
