Kelly Sheehan Thompson, 65, of Slippery Rock, passed away at his residence on Friday, Oct. 11, 2024.

Kelly was born on Jan. 22, 1959, in Grove City, to Harold Levi Thompson and Dorothy Ruth Sheehan Thompson.

Kelly graduated from Slippery Rock High School in 1976. He married Juanita Louise Lintz on Feb. 18, 1978, and she preceded him in death on Nov. 25, 2022. Kelly was a member of the Butler congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Kelly was a man of many trades and talents. He worked at Brooks Electric in Slippery Rock and was a well-known contact by many to help solve water problems at their home or business. Additionally, he was the “go to guy” for assistance with auto and/or home repairs. Later, Kelly was employed by Armco, now known as Cleveland-Cliffs.

One of Kelly’s favorite hobbies through the years was photography. He was noted for taking wedding pictures, family pictures and even processing film in his own darkroom. Kelly also enjoyed spending time hunting with his father and then later with his oldest daughter.

Kelly is survived by two daughters, Amber Marie Thompson of Slippery Rock and Adrienne Kelly (Brian) Devlin of Lisbon, Ohio; two brothers, Timothy Brian Thompson of Pittsburgh and Harold Scott (Denise) Thompson of Slippery Rock; seven grandchildren, Dakota Skye Sadie Lynn Thompson, Ireland Kelly Thompson, Madison Grace Devlin, Conner Liam Devlin, Aiden James Devlin, Braden Thomas Devlin and Mackensley Ruth Selma Devlin; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Kelly was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Beau James Thompson; and a grandson, Logan James Scott Devlin.

THOMPSON — A memorial service for Kelly Sheehan Thompson, who died Friday, Oct. 11, 2024, will be held at 3 p.m. Oct. 26, at the Butler Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 157 Unionville Road, Butler, led by Chris Bowser. In addition to those wishing to attend in person, the service also will be available online via Zoom to accommodate family and friends.
