State Rep. Bernstine announces PENNVEST grant for Conservation District
State Rep. Aaron Bernstine, R-10th, announced that the Butler County Conservation District will receive a $1.12 million grant from the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority, or PENNVEST.
The grant will be used to construct new facilities for the Four Seasons Farm in Butler, while also improving sustainability. This includes construction of a roofed composting facility, a manure storage tank and new infrastructure.
“The grant will not only improve infrastructure for our farmers but will also contribute to healthier soil and water in Butler County,” Bernstine said in a statement. “By modernizing these facilities, we’re ensuring our farming practices are sustainable for generations to come.”
