Julia Walek, 94, of Butler passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2024, at the Chicora Medical Center.

She was born July 16, 1930, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late John Olenic, Sr. and Tillie (Evanishek) Olenic.

Julia is survived by her sister, Ann Yannotty; her brothers, John Olenic Jr. and George Olenic.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Walek, whom she married March 31, 1973; he passed away Nov. 20, 2016; also five brothers and one sister.

WALEK — A private burial for Julia Walek, who died Monday, Oct. 14, 2024, was held in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.
