John “Jack” Enyeart, 83, of Mount Dora, Fla. passed away Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024, after a brief illness.

Born May 3, 1941, in Butler, John was the son of John and Frances [Stover] Enyeart. He graduated from Butler High in 1959.

He entered the U.S. Navy in 1960. He served during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba during the Cuban missile crisis in 1962. Leaving the Navy after five years, he was employed by Delta Air Lines in Indianapolis, Ind., Tucson, Ariz., and Orlando, Fla. where he retired in 1994 after 29 years as a senior coordinator of ground and traffic control. Jack’s passion was cars, especially Corvettes, flowers, and landscaping.

Jack was the beloved husband of Valerie (Wojtyna) Enyeart, whom he married on Sept. 23, 1972. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years; brother-in-law, Edward Wojtyna of Butler, as well as a niece and nephew in Tucson, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Kaye Fulton.

ENYEART — No visitation or services will be held for John “Jack” Enyeart, who died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024.

Inurnment will be at Butler Memorial Park, 380 Evans City Road, Butler.

Arrangements are under the direction of GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
