Carol M. Thalhofer, 75, of Cranberry Township passed away peacefully on Thursday Oct. 17, 2024, at Good Samaritan Hospice after a courageous yearlong battle with cancer.

Born Dec. 30, 1948, in Glenshaw, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Louis A. and Marie Thalhofer.

Carol was a former postmaster in Evans City and later retired as a court clerk at the District Court in Evans City. She also served as a teacher’s aide at Rowan Elementary School for several years. In the 2000s she and her husband operated the Junior Tournament Bowlers Association of Ohio where she took great joy in seeing the athletes go on to successful college and professional careers.

Surviving is her husband, Carl R. Pfeifer, with whom she recently celebrated her 38th anniversary; a son, Timothy Pfeifer; as well as stepchildren, Tom Pfeifer (Jen), Lisa Thomas (Brian) and Tracey Leighton (Mike); along with grandchildren, Colton, Jessica, Kaleigh, Ella, Jaxon, Avery, Kenzie and Andrew. In her later years she especially loved her time with her best friend and grandchild, Jaxon. She was a loving sister of Ronald (Carol) and Louis R. Thalhofer.

THALHOFER — Per her wishes, there will be no calling hours for Carol M. Thalhofer, who died Thursday Oct. 17, 2024.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday Oct. 21, 2024, at St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Road, Cranberry Township.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Mark the Evangelist Parish in Cranberry Township, or Good Samaritan Hospice of Wexford.

Burial will take place in The Old Union Church Cemetery
