Edward S. Storey Sr.

Edward S. Storey Sr., 91, died Saturday at his daughter's home in Frazer Township, where he lived the past six months. He previously lived in Harrison Township for 10 years and had lived in West Deer Township most of his life.

He was born May 24, 1916, in Fairview Township.

During World War II, he was a technical sergeant in the Army Air Force and served in the India-Berma and Asiatic-Pacific theaters.

He had been a manager and board member of the S.S. Pennock Co. in Pittsburgh, where he worked for more than 30 years.

Mr. Storey was a life member of the Natrona Heights VFW Post 894 and a member of the Brackenridge American Legion, the Pittsburgh Rotary Club and the East Union Presbyterian Church of West Deer Township, where he served for years on the session.

He enjoyed golf, camping, gourmet cooking, baking, family and the grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Grace A. (James) Miller Modey with whom he lived; a son, Edward S. (Theresa) Storey Jr. of Fairfax, Va.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Addison H. and Fannie M. Snyder Storey; his wife, Rhea "Betty" Himes Storey; and three sisters, Emma Sherwin, Agnes Lucas and Dora Lentz.

<B>STOREY</B> — Friends of Edward S. Storey Sr., who died Saturday, March 8, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of parting prayers at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the <B>SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME</B>, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the East Union Presbyterian Church, West Deer Township.
