Eckenrode

Karen M. Eckenrode, 68, of Butler, passed away, Monday evening, Oct. 21, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital.

She was born April 29, 1956 in Butler, a daughter of the late Donald L. Cousins and Gladys A. (Christy) Cousins.

Karen was retired from the Office of Personnel Management, Retirement Operations Center in Boyers, after working for more than 30 years. She was a member of Butler New Beginnings Free Methodist Church, enjoyed walking and reading, and most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Kevin T. Eckenrode, whom she married Sept. 9, 1988; her daughter, Kayla (Josh) Wise; two grandchildren, Levi Wise and Cora Wise; one brother, Mike Cousins; two sisters, Bonnie Eckenrode and LeaAnn Myers; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Cousins.

ECKENRODE — Friends of Karen M. Eckenrode, who died Monday, Oct. 21, 2024, will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. Services will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Matthew Perkins. Interment will be in Butler County Memorial Park.
