Annetta L. Dunlap

Annetta L. Dunlap, 66, of Centertown Road, Grove City, formerly of Fort Washington, Md., died at 2:20 a.m. Saturday at UPMC Shadyside after a long, hard battle with cancer.

Born May 9, 1940, in Aurora Colo., she was the daughter of the late Melvern Hannum and Nancy Dodd Hannum Hardesty.

She was a graduate of Anacostia High School in Washington, D.C. She was a homemaker. Prior to moving to Pennsylvania, she was a veterinary technician for 10 years.

She was a member of the Harrisville United Methodist Church. She was a former Sunday school teacher, served on church committees, and was a church usher and greeter.

She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed horseback riding, quilting and gardening.

She is survived by her husband, Dick C. Dunlap, whom she married Oct. 27, 1982; three daughters, Cheryl L. Krankowski and her husband, David W., of St. Leonard, Md., Patricia D Smaridge and her husband, Eric S., of Odenton, Md., and Nancy Barnett and her husband, Col. Daniel Bennett, of Oahu, Hawaii; four sons, James A. Thorne and his wife, Karen, of Berryville, Va., Donald E Dunlap of Lothian, Md., Russell L. Dunlap and his wife, Kelly, of Lothian, Md., and Stephen Dunlap and his wife, Denise, of Accokeek, Md.; and 17 grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Tammy Farmer and her husband, Wayne, of Colonial Beach, Va., and Debbie Myers and her husband, Mark, of Waldorf, Md.; two brothers, Buddy Hannum of Bosier City, La., and Robert Hardesty of Mechanicsville, Md.; and her mother of Mechanicsville, Md.

She was preceded in death by her step-father, Wayne Hardesty, and a sister.

<B>DUNLAP</B> — Friends of Annetta L. Dunlap, who died Saturday, July 1, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Jamison Funeral Home</B>, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Harrisville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wiliam E.
