Thomas Cupples
Thomas Cupples, 60, of Austintown, Ohio, died Monday morning.
Born Nov. 22, 1945, in Grove City, he was the son of the late Robert W. and Henrietta Fritchman Cupples.
He moved to the Youngstown area in the late 1960s and retired in 2001 as an elementary principal at Prospect Elementary School in Salem, Ohio, after 32 years in education.
Mr. Cupples received a bachelor’s degree from Geneva College and his master’s degree from Westminster College.
He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Austintown, where he belonged to the men’s group of the church and golfed on the St. Joseph Golf League II fulfilling his love for golf. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Youngstown, Al Koran Shrine and Aut Mori Grotto.
Surviving are his wife Mary Nanni Cupples, whom he married July 24, 1971; two daughters and their husbands, Cara and Dan Barnett of Pittsburgh and Kelly and Lukas Ohl of Youngstown; Ohio, and a granddaughter, Adda Victoria Cupples.
CUPPLES — Friends of Thomas Cupples, who died Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the LANE FUNERAL HOME AUSTINTOWN CHAPEL, 5801 Mahoning Ave., Austintown.
