Karen T. Reckhart

Karen T. Reckhart, 71, of Sarver died Sunday at Shadyside Hospital.

Born May 13, 1933, in Sewickley, she was the daughter of Albert Edward and Marie Nelson Hunt.

She had been a payroll clerk at the James Austin Co.

Mrs. Reckhart was a member of Ponderosa Park in Salem, Ohio.

Surviving are her husband, Darold R. "Jake" Reckhart Jr., whom she married July 19, 1975; a son, Albert W. Otte of Saxonburg; a daughter, Mrs. Dean (Debbie) Fair of Butler; and five stepdaughters, Mrs. Bill (Sheila) Cassol of Sarver, Mrs. Mike (Cindy) Herzig of San Jose, Calif., Christina Reckhart of Brackenridge, Mrs. Sam (Valerie) Burford of Creighton and Mrs. Brian (Jody) Manley of Fort Bragg, N.C. She also is survived by five granddaughters, 16 step-grandchildren, a great-grandson and 16 step-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were a sister and a brother.

RECKHART - Friends of Karen T. Reckhart, who died Sunday, April 24, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will follow at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Emery Barnett officiating.
