Zoning change needed for local business to relocate to Vagabonds Center
Kenmac Rentals & Sales of Butler announced in a Facebook post Sept. 17 that the business plans to relocate to the former General Butler Vagabonds location, 138 Whitestown Road in Lyndora, Butler Township.
In order for that to happen, Butler Township will have to consider a zoning change that would allow the local business to move into the former event venue.
During a township commissioners meeting Monday, Oct. 21, it was announced that a public hearing on the zoning changes will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 16 at the township municipal building, 290 S. Duffy Road.
According to Kenmac’s Facebook post, the business has added many new items the past couple years and “desperately” needs more room to load vehicles to help expand rental options for its customers.
Kenmac said it hopes to be operational at the former Vagabonds location by March 1.
