Dorothy Tack

Tack

Dorothy Lucille (Robb) Tack departed this world in peace on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024, at 12:50 p.m. Aged 99 and six months, she was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, John C. Tack; her father, William Graham Robb; mother, Martha (Kennedy) Robb; sisters, Marjorie and Elinor; brother, Graham Robb; daughter, Barbara Lee Bicker; and son, William Bruce Tack.

She is survived by sons, John G. (Elaine) and Jeffrey M. (Marina) Tack; son-in-law, Russell Bicker; and daughter-in-law, Donna Tack. She was blessed to have 12 grandchildren and over 30 great- and great-great grandchildren in her life at the time of her passing.

Dorothy was uniformly loved by all who knew her throughout her lifetime. As beautiful on the inside as on the outside, she was a loving soul who was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Dorothy enjoyed playing cards and bingo, shopping, Bible studies and going on cruises. Those who knew her best are grieved only by her absence in our lives, as we are sure that she is enjoying a party on the other side; the likes of which are only reserved for the very best of us.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff and management at Newhaven Court, where she enjoyed many years of carefree life, positive relationships, enjoyable activities and competent care. We know how much you loved mom, and we are sorry for your loss. Thank you for all you did for her.

This world lost a beautiful soul on Oct. 24, but heaven became even brighter when Dorothy found her way home.
