Police Reports
The following items were collected from various police departments:
Oct. 1 — Dawn E. Book-Squire, 42, of Valencia, was charged with misdemeanor counts of DUI and drug paraphernalia possession related to a May 7 two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Routes 8 and 228. Police said neither party reported injuries, but field sobriety tests showed Book-Squire was impaired. Police said while searching the vehicle, they found a multiple items containing a white, powdery residue. Police said a later blood test was conducted, but the results were not listed in the charging documents.
Oct. 3 — Tyler R. Keenan, 23, of Gibsonia, was charged with misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment and leaving a vehicle crash scene related to a Sept. 28 report of a hit-and-run on Route 228. Police said after a vehicle pulled in front of him, Keenan tailgated the vehicle and honked his horn continuously until he bumped the rear of it. Police said Keenan then sped off.
Oct. 7 — Vincent G. Vogel, 22, of Sarver, was charged with misdemeanor counts of simple assault and terroristic threats related to an Oct. 2 domestic incident on Elliott Road. Police said Vogel attacked his father in the latter’s home, pushing, hitting and punching him in the head and ribs. Police said at one point during the attack, Vogel grabbed a knife and told his father he would kill him with it.
Oct. 15 — Jeramie C. Miller, 45, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault related to an Oct. 15 incident on Brown Avenue. Police said Miller punched his wife in the face multiple times, breaking her tooth and bruising her face.
Oct. 7 — Titus L. Murray, 34, of Valencia, was charged with misdemeanor bad checks related to an Aug. 1 report by Notary Express. Police said Murray wrote a check for $5,466 that was returned for insufficient funds. Police said Murray has yet to pay the amount, plus the $30 service fee for insufficient funds.
Sept. 26 — Jonathan K. Maker, 59, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor DUI related to a Sept. 6 report of a reckless driver and vehicle crash on Old Plank Road. Police said EMTs administered Narcan to resuscitate Maker. Police said a later blood test showed he had cocaine, meth and fentanyl in his system.
Oct. 11 — Police charged two people with two sets of charges related to July 30 reports of retail theft at Lowe’s and Home Depot. Pedro A. Rodriguez Ramos, 29, and Dineris B. Rivera, 35, both of New Castle, Pa., were charged with misdemeanor counts of retail theft, possessing stolen items and conspiracy. Police said around 1:46 p.m., the pair entered Lowe’s, grabbed $861 worth of items and exited the store. Police said they loaded up their truck, then drove to Home Depot, where they entered at 2:19 p.m. Police said the pair stole $980 worth of items and fled the store. Police said there was a third unidentified man involved.
Oct. 4 — Christopher T. Hess, 38, of Pittsburgh, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault related to a Sept. 28 domestic incident on Monmouth Drive. Police said Hess held down his ex-girlfriend and hit her in the stomach.
