BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, will have special music Sunday by Gwen Atkinson.

The Sunday evening Bible study will meet at 6 p.m. in the church basement.

CHAPEL ON THE HILL

Chapel on the Hill of Emlenton, 6280 Emlenton-Clintonvillle Road, Emlenton, will host the Allegheny-Clarion Valley ministerium Lenten service at 7 p.m. Sunday.

The Rev. Chris Clark will be the host pastor. The Rev. Bill Barron of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Emlenton will give the message. An offering will be received for the Fish Food Cupboard. Fellowship and refreshments will follow the service.

CHRIST COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST

Those interested in Bikes to Hope at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will meet at 6 p.m. today.

The red church offering from Sunday’s services will benefit the Helping Hand Fund.

The youth group will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday.

The men’s breakfast will be at 8 a.m. Monday at Kings Restaurant, 191 New Castle Road.

The First English Lutheran Church work team will meet at 4 p.m. Monday.

The trustees will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

CHRIST'S OUTREACH

Christ’s Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave., will have the dinner study gathering at 5:30 p.m. today in the cafe.

Crafters will meet in the children’s church area from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Take projects in progress. Lynn will teach knitting.

The deadline to order and pay for Easter flowers is Sunday.

The church board of directors will meet following the Sunday morning worship service.

FIRST BAPTIST

The Soul’d Out Quartet will give a concert during the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday at First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St.

The women’s missionary fellowship will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday in the Baptist Youth Center.

GOSPEL FELLOWSHIP

Gospel Fellowship Presbyterian Church, 161 McFann Road, Valencia, will have a 7 p.m. presentation today from Richard and Lynne Smith of the International Student Ministry at Penn State as part of the church’s World Outreach Mission Conference.

Missionaries to a European country will speak at the church at 7 p.m. Friday.

There will be a combined Sunday school this week for a presentation by David and Danielle Grotton, missionaries from Chile.

GRACE@CALVARY LUTHERAN

The fellowship and service committee of Grace@Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will meet at 10 a.m. Friday in the ladies lounge.

Grace’s Closet, a free clothing bank, will be open from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday and from 5 to 7 p.m. March 17.

There will be a lunch Suna a trip to Camp Lutherlyn to learn about maple sugaring.

There will be a midweek Lenten dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday followed by a 7 p.m. service.

The church council will meet at 7 p.m. March 17.

GRACEWAY

GraceWay meets at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Don and Debbie Horstman, Mark Schoenfeld, Kim Walker and the Tom Walker family will provide the special music for the Sunday worship service.

Sunday is the deadline to order Easter flowers.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., will have Kids’ Club Sunday, with songs and Scripture by the children, at the worship service. The children involved will meet at 9:15 a.m. Sunday. There will be no J.A.M. session Sunday.

The deacons family movie night will be at 6 p.m. Friday.

Session will meet at 6:45 p.m. Monday.

Willing Workers will meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Mary Lou Boyer Circle will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The Covenant Cupboard food request for March is tuna or noodles.

MARS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The stewardship committee of Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars, will meet at 7:15 p.m. today.

Justin Thompson will be the speaker for the Lenten lunch at noon Friday.

Howard Meeder’s 98th birthday will be celebrated after the 11 a.m. Sunday service.

Youth groups will meet at 5:30 and 7 p.m. Sunday.

GriefShare will meet at 7 p.m. Monday.

OLD UNION PRESBYTERIAN

The pastor at Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, will offer classes about what it means to be a Christian, a Presbyterian and a member of the church. The classes will be during the Sunday school hour and the first class is this week.

RIDER LUTHERAN CHURCH

Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury, will host W.O.R.T.H. game night for women of the church at 6 p.m. Monday. Take a snack.

The midweek Lenten service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Grace@Calvary Lutheran Church. There will be a meal and discussion at 6 p.m.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., is participating in midweek worship services with other downtown churches. The First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St., will hold a service at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The March Sunday mission offering will benefit the Butler County Relief Initiative. The group helps Butler County families needing assistance for utility bills.

ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN

St. John’s Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, 100 Main St., Connoquenessing, will participate in the BALM Lenten service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Grace@Calvary Lutheran Church. The Rev. Joel Benson will lead the service. Dinner and discussion will be at 6 p.m.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

The senior high youth group of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, will meet at 7 p.m. Friday.

The outreach and evangelism ministry team will host a luncheon at noon Sunday.

The first Communion class will have lunch and instruction Sunday after the late service. The Bible Bowl team will have lunch and practice at noon Sundays until April.

The council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday.

ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN

St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., will have a vacation Bible school planning meeting at 6:30 p.m. today.

First Communion and confirmation classes will meet at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Bible Bowl practice will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Panera Bread, 330 New Castle Road.

The sanctuary choir will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

There will be a Lenten worship service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St.

TRINITY LUTHERAN

There will be blood-pressure screenings after the Saturday worship service and between the Sunday services at Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township.

The sanctuary will be open for silent reflection from 4 to 5 p.m. Saturday.

The Blind Association will provide free vision screening for children from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. and from 12:15 to 1 p.m. Sunday at the church.

There will be a Lenten worship service at noon Wednesday at the church.

The Lenten dinner and BALM service will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Grace@Calvary Lutheran Church.
