Pizza shop manager in Butler Township charged with theft
The general manager of a Little Caesars Pizza in the Butler Crossing shopping center in Butler Township has been charged with theft for allegedly failing to deposit nearly $3,000 from the shop.
Township police filed a felony charge of theft by unlawful taking against Gabrielle A. Interval, 31, of Butler on Thursday, Oct. 24, for the alleged thefts in April.
Police said a district manager reported that night drop bank deposits made in April were not the correct amount and some of the shop’s earning were not getting deposited at all on certain nights.
He told police he believed Interval was the only person who made night deposits and had a key to the safe during that time period, according to an affidavit.
The district manager reported that deposits of earnings from April 10 through 15 totaling $2,953 were not deposited. He also said he confronted Interval about the missing money, and she admitted to taking it and said she would repay it, but didn’t, according to the affidavit. Her preliminary hearing has not been scheduled.
