John Salak

Salak

John W. Salak, 82, of Cranberry Township, passed away on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, while under the care of UPMC Passavant in McCandless.

Born April 6, 1942, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Kubant) Salak.

John was a 1960 graduate of North Allegheny High School and a 1964 graduate of Grove City College. He was always a happy and positive person who enjoyed bowling and golfing. He was especially a loving husband and father, and he adored his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

John leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 58 years, Sharon (Benson) Salak; his children, David Salak, Debbie Ferriolo and Lisa (Dan) Leathers; his grandchildren, John, Beth and Kelly Salak, Michael, Luca and Julia Ferriolo, and Hannah, Noah and Danny Leathers; and his sister, Lillian (Jim) Faloon.

SALAK — A memorial service for John W. Salak, who died Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, will be held at a later date at the Wexford Community Presbyterian Church.

Arrangments have been entrusted BOYLAN-GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.
