William David Horne

William David Horne, 93, of Franklin Township passed away Saturday morning at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

He was born April 17, 1918, in Pulaski, and was the son of the late William Herman and Ida Mae (Lewis) Horne.

He was a lifetime farmer. He also worked from 1941 until his retirement in 1980 at Armco, now AK Steel, where he worked in transportation. He also enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by one son, William Gary (Ruth Ann) Horne of Butler; four grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; two siblings, Ethel Laughner and Glenn Horne, both of Butler; and a daughter-in-law, Sandra Horne of Florence, Ky.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Genevieve Horne, who he married Aug. 5, 1939, and who passed away Nov. 6, 2003; one son, Robert Lee Horne; and one grandson.
