Marie J. Webster

Marie J. Webster, 94, of Tieline Road, Grove City, died at 6:15 a.m. Sunday at United Community Hospital in Pine Township, Mercer County.

Born May 29, 1909, in Murrinsville, she was a daughter of Harry and Wilda Mortland Surrena.

Mrs. Webster was a homemaker and a member of the Harmony Presbyterian Church in Harrisville.

She formerly participated in the sewing group of her church, Esther Circle of the church and was a former Sunday School teacher of the Women's Class. She also was an avid sewer and quilter.

She is survived by two sons, Robert and Gary Webster, both of Grove City; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Daniel Surrena of Slippery Rock and Claude Surrena of Butler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Webster Jr., who died May 5, 1974, and whom she married Jan. 26, 1926.

Also preceding her in death were two sons, two grandchildren, two sisters and five brothers.

WEBSTER - Friends of Marie J. Webster, who died Sunday, April 25, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at JAMISON FUNERAL HOME, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. John McElwain, pastor of her church, officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Grove City.Memorial contributions may be made to the Harmony Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 406, Harrisville, PA 16038.
