SOUTH FAYETTE — South Fayette scored three first-quarter touchdowns en route to a 50-6 non-conference football win against visiting Summit Academy on Friday.

The Knights (0-9) scored on a 55-yard touchdown pass from Ahkeem Harris to Naquan Brown in the first quarter.

The game was originally scheduled to be played Saturday afternoon at Summit Academy's field before being moved to the Lions' turf.

RICHMOND, Va. — Frank Beamer has decided this will be his last season as Virginia Tech's coach, ending a 29-year run in Blacksburg, Virginia, that made Beamer Ball synonymous with winning.Beamer announced Sunday he would retire after this season.
