Butler Police
Monday — Police charged Brian K. Arblaster, 38, of Boyers and Charles W. Arblaster, 34, of Butler in connection with a fight at West Jefferson and North Chestnut streets that left another man in need of hospital treatment.
The brothers are accused of ganging up on Tyler Fusaro-Podobensky, who was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital where he received several stitches to close a cut above his left eye.
Both Arblasters are charged with simple assault.
6:51 p.m. Sunday — Terri L. Mulneix, 35, of Butler was arrested on a domestic relations warrant on West Cuningham Street. Mulneix was placed in Butler County Prison on the warrant.
12:50 a.m. Sunday — Roger J. Gray, 40, of Butler is accused of showing up at an apartment on the 500 block of West Jefferson Street and refusing to leave. But before officers could get to Donald Kidd’s apartment, Gray was gone.
Police a short time later said they found Gray staggering on the sidewalk. He is charged with trespass, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
2:28 a.m. Friday — Gary L. McMasters Jr., 38, of Butler was caught after trying to run from police who spotted him walking in the back yard of a home on the 300 block of First Street. Police said when they tried to speak to McMasters, he ran.
Officers a short time later found him hiding in a car port on Peach Street. Police searched him and found nine stamp bags of suspected heroin, a rock of suspected crack cocaine and a syringe.
McMasters is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and loitering and prowling at nighttime.
Grove City Police
Saturday — A thief stole a back pack containing personal items and a small amount of money from a car at an apartment in the 200 block of Jackson Street. The theft happened between 9 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday.
State Police, Butler
Wednesday — Police charged Brannon J. Irvin, 27, of New Castle with criminal mischief for allegedly damaging a man’s property March 31 on Corry Road in Worth Township.
9:15 p.m. Tuesday — A 54-year-old Harrisville man, who police did not identify, allegedly stole cut wood from a home on Brown Town Road in Mercer Township. Police said they plan to charge the suspect with theft.
7:32 p.m. Monday — A 14-year-old Slippery Rock boy was caught allegedly shoplifting snacks — Cheetos and chocolate milk — at the Sheetz convenience store on Franklin Street in Slippery Rock. The boy is charged in juvenile court with retail theft.
Saturday — An identity thief filed a tax return using the personal information of a Forward Township woman. Police said their investigation continues.
March 30 — Several pieces of jewelry were stolen from a Winchester Court home in Connoquenessing Township. The theft happened between Sept. 20 and March 30. A police report said the investigation is continuing but did not indicate if there are any suspects.
State Police, Clarion
4 p.m. Friday — A 27-year-old Fairmount City man, who police did not identify, is suspected of whipping a 22-year-old man with a belt on Cherry Run Road in Toby Township. Police said the investigation continues but released no other information about the case of suspected simple assault.
State Police, Kittanning
6:16 a.m. Tuesday — A pickup truck driven by Adam J. Tack, 29, of Sarver was rear-ended by a car on Route 28 just west of Center Avenue in Aspinwall, Allegheny County. Following the collision, the car driven by Andrew W. Marsh, 29, of Pittsburgh was struck from behind by another driven by William J. Nery, 612, of Verona.
Police said Marsh and Nery were both cited for following too closely to another vehicle.
State Police, Mercer
3:52 p.m. Tuesday — Three people were hurt in a one-vehicle wreck in Liberty Township, Mercer County. The crash happened when James M. Quast, 45, of Slippery Rock lost control of his sport utility vehicle on North Liberty Road and struck a culvert pipe and ditch before hitting a tree. Quast and two passengers — Anna K. Genzoli, 43, and Shawn P. Freeman, 24, both of Slippery Rock — were all taken to Grove City Medical Center with minor to moderate injuries. Police said Quast was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
4:56 a.m. Saturday — A utility pole was struck and damaged in a hit-and-run wreck on Route 173 just north of Airport Road in Pine Township, Mercer County. The unknown driver fled, leaving behind the 2014 Ford Focus that hit the pole.
The car ended in a ditch with its back end on the broke pole. Anyone with information is asked to call 726-662-6162.
