Man sentenced to probation in corruption of minors case

A Butler man was sentenced Thursday, Oct. 31, to serve 60 months of probation after he pleaded guilty to corruption of minors.

Kaleb A. Rearick, 23, was sentenced in Common Pleas Court to probation, comply with the probation office’s conditions for sexual offenders and 50 hours of community service.

In December 2022, state police charged Rearick, who was 21 at the time, with 10 felony and misdemeanor charges for allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old girl who ran away from home in December 2021.

At his preliminary hearing, the girl testified that she initially told Rearick that she was 17 and told him she was 14 after they had consensual sex at his home.
