Charlotte I. Rice, 88, of Butler, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024, while under the care of Newhaven Court at Clearview.

Born July 8, 1936, in Wampum, she was the daughter of the late Lonniel and Lucille (Bohlman) Rape.

She was a devoted member of the Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church of Butler, White Oak Springs Presbyterian Church of Connoquenessing Township and St. Peter’s Lutheran Church of Evans City.

Charlotte leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Regis L. Rice; her children, Amy D. Kennedy and Barry Rice; as well as five grandchildren, Brent A. Rice, Colton T. Rice, Preston J. Rice, Lauren P. Kennedy (Jonathan) and Paige E. Kennedy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Dean Rape and Edward Rapp; and her sisters, Leona Lutz and Patricia Ripper.

RICE — Friends of Charlotte I. Rice, who died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

A funeral service will be held at noon Monday, Nov. 4, 2024, at the funeral home.

Charlotte will be laid to rest at Butler County Memorial Park.
