Author of Civil War tale to appear in Mars
The Mars Area Public Library will welcome author Cynthia Crytzer at 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7 at the library, 107 Grand Ave., Mars.
In her book “A Civil War Husband,” Crytzer, a Butler native, chronicles the life of her great-great grandfather, Thomas D. Nelson, who served as a Union soldier with the 100th Pennsylvania Regiment, better known as the “Roundheads.”
